Brew your coffee and pour it into a large mug.
In a saucepan, heat the apple cider with the cinnamon stick and star anise until it’s warm but not boiling.
Pour the warmed apple cider into the mug with coffee.
Stir gently to combine the two liquids.
If desired, top with whipped cream.
Garnish with an apple slice and a sprinkle of ground cinnamon.
