  • 8 oz Freshly ground coffee beans (medium to dark roast)
  • 2 tbsp Freshly grated nutmeg
  • 1 splash A splash of cream (optional for added creaminess)

Instructions

  • Start by preheating your espresso machine.
  • Grind your coffee beans to a fine consistency.
  • Begin the extraction process, but stop it after about 15 seconds or once you’ve extracted around 15-20 ml. This is your ristretto shot.
  • Grate some fresh nutmeg over the ristretto while it’s still hot. The amount depends on your personal preference, but a pinch usually suffices.
  • For a creamier texture, add a splash of cream and stir well.
  • Serve immediately and enjoy the rich flavors.
