Start by preheating your espresso machine.
Grind your coffee beans to a fine consistency.
Begin the extraction process, but stop it after about 15 seconds or once you’ve extracted around 15-20 ml. This is your ristretto shot.
Grate some fresh nutmeg over the ristretto while it’s still hot. The amount depends on your personal preference, but a pinch usually suffices.
For a creamier texture, add a splash of cream and stir well.
