Take 1 cup of coarse ground coffee beans.
Add 4 cups of cold, filtered water.
Grate in a pinch of nutmeg. If using a whole seed, a quarter of it will suffice.
Stir the mixture ensuring all grounds are soaked.
Cover and refrigerate for 12-24 hours.
Strain the mixture to remove coffee grounds.
Serve over ice, adding milk or cream if desired.
